ICF film (Intrinsic Carbon Film) is a general term for carbon films that possess high functionality and multifunctionality, including DLC. ICF films are amorphous (non-crystalline) carbon films that are positioned between graphite and diamond in structure. The film surface is smooth, has a low friction coefficient (μ = 0.1), and exhibits self-lubricating properties, which helps prevent metal adhesion to molds during the forming of soft metals and protects the mirror surface of the molds.
